PLANT DYE
Echo Yu, whose Chinese name is Ying Yu, graduated from Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in Wuhan, China, and later became an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of lacquer craftsmanship. With years of experience in natural lacquer and botanical dye, her practice is grounded in handwork and a close understanding of materials.
Working primarily with dark, tonal colours, she explores how materials absorb dye, reflect light and change through use. Lacquer and botanical dye are selected according to each piece, allowing uneven surfaces, traces of making and natural wear to remain visible.
Her work extends from handmade objects and textiles to the transformation of vintage clothing. Origin brings together objects made by her own hands. In Black Rework, she brings her personal style to vintage clothing from the last century, reworking each piece while preserving traces of its past.

Shipping
All prices are in USD. Orders ship from China. Worldwide shipping is USD 35 per order and is free when the merchandise subtotal is USD 250 or more. Orders are normally dispatched within 5 business days. Tracking details will be sent by email after dispatch. Delivery times vary by destination and may be affected by customs or carrier delays. Shipping is available to destinations supported by our payment and delivery providers.
Taxes & Duties
Import taxes, customs duties and clearance charges are payable by the buyer and are not included in the product price or shipping fee.
Returns & Refunds
Each piece is one of one. All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind, except where required by applicable law. If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact customercare@echoyu.com with your order details and photographs so we can review the issue. This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights or applicable payment-provider protections.

Accounts and orders
We use the information you provide to sign you in, manage orders, arrange delivery, send order and shipping updates, and respond to enquiries. We do not receive or store card details or native wallet payment tokens.
